Be aware of what parts is used in the construction of your Balun, Unun or Choke. We always over build our products and do not offer under-spec parts for a stated Watt rating.
Our Bombastik 1:1 Choke Balun box is a premium product with a built-in choke and a balun all in one.
The 1:1 Balun, short for "balanced to unbalanced," serves a crucial role in connecting a balanced device, like a dipole antenna, to an unbalanced one, typically your coaxial cable.
The difference between our inline choke and the balun is that the balun is made to carry two wires on one side and coax on the other. The inline choke has coax on both sides, but they essentially do the same thing, preventing common mode current from flowing back on the coax shield. This is vital for reducing unwanted noise and potential interference in your radio setup. The 1:1 ratio indicates that it maintains the same impedance on both the input and output, typically around 50 ohms, which matches most modern transceivers and antennas.
